2025 Sustainability Award winners announced
Metsä Tissue’s CEO, Sari Pajari-Sederholm, welcomed approximately 350 guests from more than 100 different organisations to the 2025 Sustainability Awards ceremony. She paid tribute to the quality and the quantity of the awards entries, saying that they represented an ambition, shared with Metsä Tissue, for an industry that operates responsibly to help to create a positive, lasting impact on the environment.
Mika Paljakka, Metsä Tissue SVP UK & Ireland, said that he had been overwhelmed by the interest the awards had generated with 91 nominations received from 46 separate organisations. He thanked Metsä Tissue’s event partner, the Cleaning and Support Services Association (CSSA), and the awards sponsors, and urged attendees to generously support the Awards’ charity – The Hygiene Bank.
To announce the winners of the 2025 Sustainability Awards, Mika handed over to TV Naturalist Steve Backshall.
