Avery announces new European Leadership structure to drive strategic alignment and growth

Avery is excited to announce a significant change in the European Leadership team that is aimed at accelerating growth, optimising the value chain, and enhancing the alignment of its brand strategy across the region.

Nicolas Jean-Jean is promoted to Vice President & General Manager, Avery Europe.

After 11 years of working in Avery France, first as Finance Manager and eventually progressing to Managing Director, Nico moved to the UK in early 2018 to head up the Avery UK business. Since then, he has played a pivotal role in the successful development of the Avery portfolio in the UK as well as in France and Benelux. Nico has also championed the growth and acceleration of our Direct-to-Consumer business in the Western Europe region and has led the integration of key acquisitions including Easy2Name, Snappy Tags, ID&C, Identilam, and most recently Oomph Made in 2023.

In his new role, Nico will oversee all aspects of the Avery business in Europe, with a particular focus on expanding our Direct-To-Consumer portfolio and driving further acquisitions.

Nico Jean-Jean says: “As I step into the role of Vice President & General Manager, I am thrilled to lead this transformative journey. Bringing together all regions and business units, including our flagship and acquisitions, we are poised to create a stronger, unified organisation that leverages our strengths across Europe. This strategic alignment not only fortifies our support for the Avery flagship brand, but also positions us to seize future opportunities with greater agility and efficiency.”

Peter Sperl is appointed Managing Director & General Manager, Avery Europe & METO Worldwide.

Peter Sperl, who has successfully led the Avery CEENOR (Central, Eastern, Northern Europe) division since CCL Industries' acquisition of Avery in 2013, and the METO division since 2016, will now expand his responsibilities to include all of Avery's flagship operating businesses across Europe. This expanded role aims to create a unified direction that fosters growth in both the conventional reseller business and our online WePrint businesses. Peter will continue to lead the Avery CEENOR unit and METO Worldwide business, whilst also overseeing the Western and Southern European business units.

Mark Cooper, Avery Global President, says: “While aligning the European organisation under this new structure, Avery Europe remains committed to empowering local teams to drive market-relevant plans and decisions, a core strength of CCL Industries' operational approach. I would like to congratulate Nico and Peter on their new and expanded roles as we embark on this exciting phase of growth and more seamless collaboration.”
