BOSS - What does the business do?
PBS: PBS Network offers product data distribution and order interface solutions under the principle of “one-interface-to-many.”
BOSS - When and how was the business established?
PBS: Founded in 1999 by four industry leaders—Avery, Acco, Brunnen, and Edding—in Germany, PBS Network was created to streamline the distribution of product data and orders. Today, Soennecken and PBS Arge are co-shareholders.
BOSS - How has the business developed since its inception?
PBS: PBS Network is the leading solution provider for office products in the DACH region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland) and has expanded into Denmark, Benelux, and France.
BOSS - What achievements or specialisms is the company particularly proud of?
PBS: We process millions of orders yearly without disruptions, maintain a database of over 1 million products, and connect hundreds of suppliers with thousands of dealers. Our extensive product catalogue is key to our success.
BOSS - Why has the company decided to join BOSS?
PBS: Collaborating with federations like PBS Arge and UFIPA, joining BOSS allows us to better understand the UK market and ease trade in the region.
BOSS - What aspects of BOSS’s offerings is the company most looking forward to utilising, and why?
PBS: We look forward to leveraging the network effect, particularly through the company register and BOSS events. While we provide digital solutions, we believe that trade thrives through personal connections.
