Solving the Puzzle for Individual Growth - Instilling Confidence: Managing Self Doubt and Imposter Syndrome

On 28th November, the Leaders of the Future (LOTF) Community hosted an inspiring in-person conference at The Eastside Rooms in Birmingham. Bringing together the next generation of industry leaders, the event provided a platform for learning, networking, and personal development.

The Leaders of the Future Committee were pleased to host this dynamic event, designed to support and inspire future leaders in the industry. With the theme "Solving the Puzzle for Individual Growth", attendees explored key topics such as instilling confidence, managing self-doubt, and overcoming imposter syndrome. A fantastic lineup of speakers shared their expertise, including Angie McQuillin, Confidence and Career Success Coach, who provided insights into building self-belief, and Adrian Butler, Managing Director of VOW Wholesale, who offered valuable industry perspectives. Gordon Christiansen, Partner at Highlands, also shared his experiences, giving attendees practical advice on navigating their professional journeys.

The day also featured an engaging panel discussion, hosted by Shaun Tidman, with industry leaders Jim Brown from Paperstone, Gordon Christiansen from Highlands, Adrian Butler from VOW Wholesale,  Rachael Lewis from Office Depot and Amy Hutchinson, BOSS. The panel covered a range of industry insights and personal experiences, offering attendees a deeper understanding of leadership, growth, and career development.

Feedback from the event was overwhelmingly positive, with a survey revealing that 100% of attendees said they would attend another LOTF conference in the future. The event proved to be a great success, leaving attendees with actionable strategies to boost their confidence and leadership skills. With engaging discussions and valuable networking opportunities, the LOTF Conference once again proved to be a must-attend event for future industry leaders.
