Superstat Showcase 2024: A Dynamic Gathering of Ambitious Dealers and Key Suppliers
The event was primarily sponsored by Exertis Supplies Ltd, with additional sponsorship from Prima, CTS Wholesale, Reckitt Pro Solutions, and Antalis.
Following the opening remarks, attendees moved on to the supplier exhibition, which generated a huge buzz as dealers navigated the 34 stands. Exhibitors represented a variety of categories, including Workwear, Warehousing, IT, Safety, Technology and Software, and Office Supplies. Notable new suppliers included Eat Fruit, Flashy Cactus, Apogee, and Buronomic.
Speaker Sessions
The conference then transitioned to the speaker sessions, where Jamie Morton, a TV personality from SAS: Who Dares Wins, captivated the audience. He recounted his career in the SAS, his time on the TV show, and his current role as an 8,000m+ mountain guide. Morton’s talk was filled with thrilling stories and insights on competitiveness, determination, and goal achievement, resonating deeply with the dealers' business experiences.
Following Morton, Andrew Beaumont, the MD of Exertis and the main sponsor, provided a business update. He discussed the potential of their new warehousing space, the addition of 3,000 new lines in the past year, and the revamped marketing portal offering extensive free digital collateral to dealers.
Open Forum
Next, the conference moved to the open forum. A panel of suppliers from key categories such as Workwear (Beeswift), Furniture (Dams Furniture), Packaging (Antalis), Catering and Cleaning (Reckitt Pro Solutions), Ergonomics (Fellowes), and Wellbeing (Eat Fruit) took the stage. They shared selling tips, target audience insights, and other critical information to help members capitalise on new opportunities. Attendees contributed their experiences, resulting in a highly informative session for everyone involved.
Social
The conference included a welcome summer BBQ and 90’s Culture Quiz on Wednesday night, providing a relaxed and informal setting for attendees to get to know each other. On Thursday evening, a drinks reception sponsored by CTS Wholesale was followed by an awards dinner, capped off with a band playing 90’s club classics, creating a memorable and enjoyable conclusion to the event.
