The Mayflower Atlantic Challenge

United UK is one of the headline sponsors of The Mayflower Atlantic Challenge.

On 12 December 2024, Dan Wooler, owner of office furniture firm TC Group and 3 friends will embark on a journey to test their physical and mental limits to the extreme. Their mission? To conquer the World’s Toughest Row and raise vital funds for two charities: The Mustard Tree Cancer Support Unit and the star* scheme.

This is no ordinary race. It’s an extreme test of endurance, both mental and physical and The Mayflower’s voyage is entirely self-funded, with all monies raised going directly to the charities. The Mustard Tree Cancer Support Unit was a lifeline for Paul Adams (Crew Captain), while the star* scheme programme helps children and families affected by trauma, using the power of sport to build resilience and create positive change and was  founded by Dan Wooler, is centred around the values of rugby. With almost 100 junior rugby clubs already engaged, star* scheme is making a real difference in communities across the UK.

Darren Lloyd United Quotes "United are proud to be supporting the Mayflower Challenge and the fantastic Charities its representing. The commitment shown by all of the Crew is outstanding, it's not just been a weekend in the making but a gruelling 18 months of preparation. We would encourage anyone to donate to the challenge and look forward to following the Mayflower once the challenge commences.

The team at United will be continuing to support the fundraising efforts of the Mayflower through a series of events in 2025, details to follow."
